It is my absolute pleasure to stand before you today as the Deputy Principal of this remarkable school, My name is Miss Mpendulo most call me "Mpesh" Whether you're returning to continue your journey with us, or you're joining us for the first time, I want to extend a warm and heartfelt welcome to each of you.

Today is a fresh start a chance to set new goals, take on new challenges and make this year your best yet. As you walk through these buildings, remember that each of you is part of a larger community a community that values respect, responsibility and resilience.

Now, as your Deputy Principal, I want to take a moment to outline a few key duties and responsibilities I’ll be here to support you with throughout the year.

  We are here to learn, grow and achieve together. One of my most important duties is to ensure that your academic journey is as smooth and successful as possible. My name is Mrs Kalima and I’m honored to speak with you today as the Operations Manager of this high school. Some of you may be wondering what exactly an Operations Manager does, so I’d like to take a moment to explain and to share what you can expect from me this year.

 

My job is to make sure that this school runs smoothly every single day. That means overseeing the parts of the school you don’t always see but rely on constantly things like building maintenance, safety procedures, transportation, school facilities and campus operations. If the lights work, the classrooms are clean, the gates open on time, the schedules run smoothly, or an issue is fixed before you even noticed it… chances are my team and I had a hand in it.

 

But my duties go beyond managing buildings and schedules. I’m here to help create an environment where you can learn, feel safe and do your best work. That means:

 

• Ensuring your classrooms and learning spaces are comfortable and well maintained

• Responding quickly when something on campus needs attention

• Working with teachers and administrators to support school events and activities

• Making sure emergency and safety procedures are clear and effective

• Listening to your concerns when something affects your school environment

 

Most importantly, I’m here to support you. Your experience matters. If something in your school environment isn’t working the way it should, I want to know. You’ll see me around campus often, checking on classrooms, walking the grounds, or meeting with staff. Don’t hesitate to say hello or to let me know if something needs attention.

 

My goal is simple: to make sure this school is a place where you can feel proud to learn and grow.
